Steampunk Cat Woman Ambient Occlusion Color Method

I was reading up on painting techniques using ambient occlusion so I tried to apply what I learned from Tsuaii and Sam Nielson. I wanted to try a more organized technical process. So I painted Steampunk Cat Woman and I tried to break out the layers in Photoshop to explain the painting process. It's a lot of trial and error and I had to play with the adjustment layers in Photoshop to get the effect I wanted. This is definitely a very tedious approach, but worth the effort in the end. Perhaps I'll have to master it better, streamline the process and make it faster.
