Cool Light and Color Male Study

I've been painting all my life since I was a little kid and I've always used colors straight out of the tube. Everything was local color and didn't quite look real. In 2015, I took a class in Color and Light from Ty Carter from CGMA, but I had a difficult time really grasping it. I signed up for Schoolism in 2017, but was so busy at work, I couldn't get past lesson 3. I would literally have to re-watch it from the beginning each time. The Color and Light class with Dice Tsutsumii and Robert Komodo made more sense. Marco Bucci also has some excellent Youtube videos. I think he is currently teaching at CGMA now. Maybe it takes time and I'm still learning. Here is a cool light painting I did last November. I tried to add push more hues to the palette than the actual photo reference.
