Gothic Geisha #6 Cover

This is the cover to my online comic, Gothic Geisha #6. I printed a limited edition hard copies to sell at the San Diego Comic Con and Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con in 2018. Earlier in the year, I had worked on an environment design exercise painting using photo-bashing and paint-overs. It's been a long time since I took an environment design class from Art Center in Pasadena, CA, and I barely remembered anything from that class. The people were roughed out and I ended up covering the up for the final painting. I love martial arts (I study Shaolin kung-fu), so I had to make the main character, Kenji, leap into the air with a straight sword. I tried to give him a Bruce Lee type body and double lighting.
